The first few days

Brad was fantastic at the hospital. He changed every dirty diaper Lilly had and catered to my every need. He was even an attentive student during breast feeding instruction! I certainly would not be feeling as well as I do without all of his support. She has her daddy completely smitten!! He can't take his eyes off of her and whenever she hears his voice her eyes pop open and she's searching for his face.

We are in complete awe and amazement everyday at how perfect our precious girl is...we're not partial or anything!! She has flipped our world upside down in the best way possible.
Brad got the house all decorated when we brought her home on Thursday. We had to do a little searching for the pink bow but we eventually found one. We wanted the whole world to know that our girl was home!
I could hold her in my arms all day everyday! She is so small and cuddly we can barely keep our hands off of her! Her hair is a sandy blonde and incredibly soft. We find something new to love about her everyday.
Adventures in Bilirubin land! We had Lilly's first doctor's appointment the day after we got home from the hospital. Everything looked great except for her bilirubin levels. She had a level of 16 on Friday. We didn't think she looked jaundiced but the numbers said otherwise! In order to nip the problem in the bud, the doctor ordered her a bilibed. Basically it is her own personal tanning bed! We kept her in it all of Friday afternoon and Friday night. We had a doctor's appointment this morning to check the level again and it had dropped to 10! The doctor was very pleased with that progress but wants us to keep her in the bed the rest of the weekend to make sure its all gone.

There is nothing sweeter than a baby girl and her daddy!
