Things are starting to happen!
I went for my 36 week appointment yesterday. The doctor did a Group B Strep test and checked my cervix. As it turns out I am dialated to 2 centimeters and 75% thinned out. Obviously, that means she is making her way down and preparing herself to enter the world! She weighed 6 lbs 1 oz and her heartrate is in the 120's. My doctor said the decrease in heartrate meant that she was getting ready. Mom went with me and much to her dismay the doctor said I could still have 3-4 weeks to go. He did mention inducing me if I wanted to so Brad and I will have to have that discussion over the next couple of days. I'm starting to get more and more uncomfortable so I am definately ready to have her out and meet her. We are hoping to deliver around 20th or 21st of November. That would be ideal...IN A PERFECT WORLD!! We are trying not to have too many expectations at this point but after hearing that I am already dialated it is hard not to jump at every little ache and pain. I feel like we are mostly prepared with everything we need to bring her into the world although I can't help that nagging feeling that I am forgetting something. We purchased her stroller, car seat and swing last weekend so that is all taken care of. We still need her pack 'n play and newborn diapers but other than that we are set! I think both Brad and I are starting to get a little anxious about the birth but we feel very well prepared. We finished our childbirth classes last night and we really learned a lot. Now its nothing but a waiting game! We can't wait to give everyone that joyous phone call that she has arrived! Keep us in your thoughts!!
